Working with businesses
Ponte Consulting Ltd helps businesses build successful, effective and meaningful partnerships with the community. Where businesses are keen to invest as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) or start up a CSR programme, we broker relationships with relevant and impactful charities, community organisations and initiatives shaping programmes that benefit both parties. The aim is to maximise the impact on the ground and to ensure that any investment is going to make a visible and sustainable difference.
How can Ponte help your business?
Many businesses give back to communities as part of CSR through charitable donations, volunteering programmes and other initiatives. However, not all investment is channelled to organisations that make the greatest impact in the community or those that are doing fantastic work but have little support.
There is much exciting and innovative work at grassroots level but it is not always easy to identify. Additionally, investment might not be relevant to the business or its needs. Ponte will do the background research of the borough, intelligence on what is happening on the ground, gaps in provision and needs in the area.
Understanding what your business does and listening to what your business wants and the aim of the investment, Ponte will support your business on how to maximise your investment and impact in the community providing a programme to match the business needs that is fresh and creative. It is important that all parties benefit from the investment. Ponte supports businesses to develop local strategic partnerships that are smart, sustainable and have real impact.
Partnerships will cater for the needs of the community and the business; they can include a combination of different investments, for example financial support, apprenticeship programmes, mentoring and organisational capacity building. Working together with the business and the charity/community organisation, Ponte will broker an effective partnership and shape programmes.
You might be a business new to a borough looking to invest in a community project or expanding in a borough and keen to build a new programme; it could be that you are developing in the borough and want to invest as part of S106 obligations. Ponte consults businesses and developers on how to do this effectively with positive results.
